Abingdon Concert Band is a community wind band who rehearse and perform in and around Abingdon-on-Thames. Following a successful period with the Band, which has seen us develop and grow significantly, Stephen Bell is stepping down at the end of the summer term. We are now looking for a new Musical Director from September 2013 who can build on the foundations that Stephen has laid.

The deadline for applications is Sunday 7 April 2013.
The recruitment process will be as follows:

| By Sunday 21 April | Inform shortlist of their audition date and begin liaison over audition repertoire |
| Thursday 16 May | Interviews and auditions 1 and 2 (45 minutes each) |
| Thursday 23 May | Interviews and auditions 3 and 4 (45 minutes each) |
| By 9 June | Decision made by Committee and EGM held to ratify decision. Successful applicant informed and agreement to take up the post secured in writing |
| By 16 June | Once the selected candidate is secured, inform those unsuccessful |
| Thursday 12 September | First rehearsal with new Musical Director |
