What are we?
We are a concert band – wind orchestra – of woodwind, brass and percussion. We are a self-governing band, and enjoy ourselves whilst maintaining a good standard of play. Come and enjoy the music at our forthcoming events, or contact us to come along and play.
What music do we play?
We play music of all periods and styles, from Renaissance Italy to modern Broadway.
Who are we?
We are a mixture of ex-pros, semi-pros, amateurs and students, and we welcome players of any age.
What concerts do we give?
Since our foundation over thirty years ago, we have given more than 150 concerts, indoors and outdoors, in Abingdon and the surrounding area.
When do we rehearse?
We rehearse on Thursday evenings from 8–10pm at Dunmore School in Abingdon.

Christmas Concert - Tickets Now On Sale!
The band's annual Christmas Concert is rapidly approaching. Join us at Silk Hall, Radley College on Saturday 13th December at 7:30 for an evening of carols, readings and all of your festive favourites such as White Christmas and Troika. Tickets will be available on the door (£6/£4 concessions) or can be purchased in advance from Frugal Food and Mostly Books in Abingdon.
National Concert Band Festival
The band are taking part in the National Concert Band Festival on Sunday 16th November at the regional heat in Northampton. There will be an Open Rehearsal at The Baptist Church, Ock Street, Abingdon from 3pm on Saturday 8th November. Please join us to hear the band perform their festival entries.
New Brass Players Wanted!
We currently have vacancies for brass instruments and also welcome enquiries from woodwind players. If you play to a reasonable standard (or can do when you're back in practice) and you'd like to join a friendly and supportive local band, please fill in the form on the Join Us page to contact us.
