Audio, video and photography

Photographs and recordings of the Band may be used for publicity and promotional
purposes—including social media, broadcast media, websites, podcasts, and streaming channels—as well as for the Band’s internal use. This applies to all platforms, present and future.

As part of their Band membership, each player grants permission for their image and any recordings of their playing to be used for these purposes. This permission applies to both during and after membership.

Audio and video recordings

No part of any performance or rehearsal will be reproduced or transmitted in any manner or by any means whatsoever without prior permission.

Official recordings require approval from the Musical Director. Short, non‑official clips for the Band’s social media must be approved by at least two Committee members.

Band members are asked not to make or share recordings of rehearsals or other non-public performances unless agreed with the Committee.

Where recordings are taken on behalf of the Band, the individual making the recording should aim to capture only the playing or performance.

Audience members may record at open, public events. However, recordings must not
interfere with the performance or the enjoyment of others.

Licencing arrangements

Where photography or recording of events is carried out by Band members or external photographers, the Committee is responsible for ensuring that the photographer or recorder grants the Band full licence to use the resulting images or recordings.
